Does the AMS TBE 3" system fit good on the 05 Evo? Like does anything have to be replaced, or changed for the system to fit properly, or is it all smooth going?

I've read some places that it doesn't fit perfect, there are somethings that have to be changed.

I've installed many TBE's and they fit as perfect as anything out there. The only thing that has to be changed is the front lower tie bar has to be spaced down about 1/2".

Most of the stuff you've heard was probably from our 1st design which had a few clearance issues around the rear section on a few units. The new design is straighter, less bends, and fits like a charm every time.

 

I have an IX and it fits like a glove!

 

hows the sound on this tbe? this is one im looking at for when I get my IX. just curious to see how it sounds when cruising and WOT.

Very nice deep growl. Not to loud but it does make you want to drive without the radio on!

What do you guys have. The exhaust with the HFC, or the test pipe? Which sounds better, etc?

 

I had a hfc when i left AMS, then put the test pipe on, much louder with the test pip! Not to loud, I would say just perfect!

anyone have a sound clip of this exhaust. my IX comes in tommorrow and Im really thinking about the AMS exhaust so id like to hear how it sounds

 

Chris I weighed the exahust pieces a few weeks ago and gave the results to Eric #1. I'll ask him tomorrow if he still has that info handy, if so he can post it up.

We currently don't have any sound clips but its definatly one of the nicer sounding systems out.
