AIM MXL Digital Dash Release

The same equipment found in the AMS Time Attack Car!!!

Forget a bunch of expensive Gauges cluttering the car. Have it all viewable in one shot!!

Aim Digital Dash

The MXL race data acquisition is an excellent choice for race cars and street cars alike! The MXL Pista and Pro models are the same system used by world class GT cup cars and LeMans racers, however versatile enough to use in the mildest of street cars. We have currently been using the AiM Sports MXL Pista Digital dash in our Time Attack car and ran it for the entire One Lap of America event, we couldn’t be happier with the results.

This Digital Dash system not only displays all your vitals on one easy to view screen, but also logs them. Some of the finer points of this system are:

-1 AMP + 2 binder connectors

-Lap Times & Split Lap Times

-RPM - numerical and graphical display tach

-Max RPM stored for later recall

-Total Run Time

-Gear Position

-Total and partial odometer

-8 analog sensor inputs for temperature, pressure, lambda sond, potentiometers, etc.

-1 wheel speed input.

-128 kb of non-volatile memory.

-Brilliant blue display with backlight.

-6 fully configurable alarm LEDs.

-10 fully configurable shift LEDs.

-Requires 8-15V power from vehicle. Auto Power OFF feature.

Along with being able to input readings from the factory ecu AiM Sports now offers plug and play digital displays that work with AEM engine management systems. AiM Sports’ digital race data acquisition systems are now fully compatible with all AEM engine management systems via a serial RS-232 connection. To enable the integration, AEM users must have firmware version 1.19 or higher. The plug and play simplifies installation of the MXL system as users need only install one harness between the MXL and the AEM ECU unit.

Once connected the MXL displays (and can record, depending on the model):

-RPM, boost (engine load / MAP)
-throttle position (TPS)
-air and water temperatures
-battery voltage
-speed
-gear
-2 lambda (fuel/air ratio) channels and 2 error channels.
-By using additional sensors (or tapping into existing ones) drivers can monitor other information via additional inputs on the MXL

View video of the Dash on our dyno here. REALLY cool stuff. Pay attention to the progressive shift light at the end.

we are also in the final stages of offering that mounting bracket viewed in the above video!!

Units range from $999 - $2299

I wish now that I'd gone the MXL Pista route instead of with too many gauges. Nice product!

YAY! The video works. Now I'm just pissed I spent $1,500 on Autometer Nexus Gauges :-(

By the way, is it just me? Or did I see 68.2 psi on that thing during the 3rd gear pull?!?!?!

that's a nice unit but i like the MoTeC SDL better which fits nicely in the dash in place of the stock gauge cluster...

Kyle,

We will have it on the Unlimited car at the shootout as well, so we can demonstrate, show you the track mapping, etc.

Seriously dude, watch the video again. On the left side it says "Boost" right below the tach graph and directly under that you can see it reads way up there in the 60's when they get on it. One thing that seemed weird was I don't recall seeing it read vacuum when they let off, it didn't seem to go below 0psi.
