Exactly what i was looking for and hoping.

Eric, with only an 8k rev limit, is this power usable? Or would i be shifting out of boost? (too low in the RPM range...?)

FYI, i do plan on blowing my stock motor eventually and rebuilding; i want to be the person taking the stock block to its absolute limit (for the sake of research); and i think the 37r is the way to get there. I think everybody will be pleasantly surprised by how long the stock block lasts in these circumstances (37r @ 30psi on C16). I hope to hit 600 awhp...

So i think this answered our questions guys, yes the 37r is a great turbo on a 2.0L for any situation except straight pump gas.

a completely Stock Block/head with cams..... which is what some or most of you guys run is best suited for a 50trim or a 3076 if you can handle a little lag... OtherWise...Stop asking... The stock block is not bullet proof...

reality of the matter is that most of you guys arent going to run race gas, on your DD, and that what most of these people are running pump... Soooo 50 trim or bust.... IMO... 500 whp is ALOT to handle. much more than you would expect in a Evo.....

I agree completely with this poster.....even for me at about 500 AWHP Its crazy fast.... its not power for the young, inexperienced and irresponisble. I dont even use this power all the time, but its nice to have on tap when you need to smack someone down

Well then the answer is yes, it will be streetable, and will tear up the track. Being fully built you can run 40 psi and you will see significant gains over a 35r.

have my GT37R installed on my built 2.0

now in the tuning process...turbo hits hard....esp with launch control....my car spins out the entire first gear without moving.
boost comes on just as fast as my previous 35R with a 0.82 back end..

the 37R i have now has the 0.63 back end

as soon as I'm done tuning I will post results...
but so far I am happy...was expecting it to be laggy but it isnt..

pulls hard on the highway!

Thing that bothers me is that People that are asking about the 37r, 35r or even a 50 Trim dont even have somewhat modified evo's.... Most of the people on this Site that Want this turbo and with whatever Setup Dont even know what the hell there talking about and Shoot off Stupid answer..... Like when somehow people where saying that you get full spool on a 35r @ 2000RPM.... I dont know about others. But in 2nd Gear.... starting out at 2000RPM and just flooring it i get Full Boost by 3500-4000 Rpm Depending on what Conditions. ......

EVOm Should Build a 35r powered EVO, Designated Just To Scare the **** outta all these Newbs.....

I have ridden in a 3076 powered EVO, A 35r powered. Evo and these were both on Pump Gas w/ Alky, I honestly have no clue what im getting my self into with my Car.. The Cars Going to be aboslute Rocket and i cant wait...!

35r Built 2.0 Port and Polished head.....maybe a 75 Shot .... So forth.. Look up my 2.0 BUILD UP if you want more info

This is however true what you have said.

Looking back in retrospect, I'm in my late 20's now. I used to street race like a madman when I was younger.....now I have all this power buit guess what I dont ever use it all the time, just only when I need to.

I also think that being older and more mature, and also being responsible for my actions and car payments has also calmed me down a lot.

Even 400 AWHP on an EVO I would say is plenty for most people who will ever always drive their car on the street. But if you plan on getting good times at the track, or if you plan on street racing and beating up on V8's then by all means shoot for 500 AWHP and up.....

All in all I wanted to say build your EVO in stages, get used to the power level you're at before you move to the next power level, because at a certain point everything gets real real expensive

I'm not really even sure what you guys are even talking about anymore, but i do have one think to say.

Who tests ANYTHING in 2nd gear? fyi, it is best to test boost, datalogs, and dyno pulls all in 3rd gear for our cars. Shoot you're supposed to test everying in 3rd gear for our cars...

And i'm not just attacking you, i have seen a lot of people on here be like "i get stock like spool up, my gt42r spools at 4k rpms... in 5th gear..." That is an extreme case, but you guys get what i am saying.

That being said; i don't know what you guys are even talking about anymore; and i am still installing a 37r on my stock 2.0 and running 30 psi on pump/meth and hitting 600 awhp... and that, makes me feel good inside.
