Do you have any idea what your new paint scheme is going to be? I was playing with this idea and figured I would throw your logo onto it to see how it looked.

Keeping with the aviation theme. I based it on one of the Mitsubishi A6M Zero fighter paint schemes. I know it has a different bodykit and what not but it's just to see if the design worked at all. It has plenty of room for other sponsor decals which is nice.

So what you guys think?

i would think TIG welding it would benefit the car better since its a cleaner stronger weld then a MIG, and i agree with you, you dont acid dip an entire chassis to spot weld it, seam welding is much more time consuming but also much more beneficiary and a hell of alot stronger, since they have a gold medal car already im sure there isnt too much of a rush on time, i have no doubt in my mind that AMS will have this car braking all the records the TA1 has already set, to anyone who hasnt seen it its absolutly worth watching the youtube video "a peak inside AMS Time Attack" i learned alot just from watching it but you also see just how dedicated this company is to making sure its on top and offering the same **** it uses to anyone with the ***** to go for the gold.

cant wait for TA2's build up to be completed and another world record shattering machine to be on top an making the USA proud

Meh, why should an American company run a Japanese paint scheme? Rising sun FTL, Stars and Stripes FTMFW!!

...and to preempt the h8rz: no, I don't see any irony in running an American paint scheme on a Japanese car...

The Mitsubishi A6M Zero-Sen legendary status mirrored the fortunes of the rising sun, in which four years, the sun would finally set. For the Japanese and its former enemies, the A6M was the symbol of Japanese air power. The A6M fighter marked the beginning of a new epoch in naval aviation and was the first shipboard fighter capable of surpassing land-based aircraft.1 With its tight turning radius, it was an extremely deadly weapon in a dogfight, and was famous for its ability to outmaneuver, Brewster F2A Buffaloes, Curtiss P-40s and Grumman F4F Wildcats. As early as 1937, Claire Chennault, the author of 'The Role of Defensive Pursuit,' warned the USAAF about the dangers of Japanese air power. Apparently his warnings were ignored, as the superiority of the A6M was a complete surprise to the American forces. As leader of the Flying Tigers, Chennault constantly stressed to his pilots, Never try to turn with a Zero. Always get above the enemy and try to hit him with the first pass. Because of the A6Ms exceptional range and performance, it was to bear the brunt of the action, of almost every military engagement in the Pacific, until the end of the war.

Without the A6M in WWII Mitsubishi would of probably went under and closed it doors for good. So it's a way of truly paying respect to the car's heritage. Without that plane the company would of never survived the war and AMS might be working on Kia's instead of EVO's Just throwing that out there for ya.

That plane was used to shoot down our pilots. It killed many of them.

We shot down allot of their planes also. That's war.

Hate war and not the soldier or tools he's given when sent to battle.

If you're japanese, fly the JDM flag.

I'm an American. The flag I fly is going to be red white and blue with a field of 50 stars and 13 stripes. Instead of a cheery blossom I'm going to put a big mac with a large sprite and some mickey's fries.

To each his own.

Very well put. You would be suprised at the amount of WWII vets that understand and feel this way. Then again I bet ALOT of them would be livid at us for painting a car like that.

^ +1, but that paint scheme is nice. I'd rock it. It's harder to run that design as a company because it could have negative efects.

Thats amusing. So because I'd fly an American flag, that makes me a close minded ***?

What precisely makes me an ***.

The reason the world hates Americans is because of our foreign policy in the last eight years.

The McDonalds stuff was being facetious you baffoon. Go look it up in a dictionary, then nod your head and understand. Fool.
