A word about AMS...

This is probably not going to come as a surprise to everyone, but I want to go on record and thank AMS for their willingness and knowledge that they have shown me in the past year. At the moment my car is powered almost completely by AMS products and I couldn't be happier. On top of the top notch craftsmanship, they have the most important quality a shop can have and thats service. I don't even mean physically as I've never been to the shop(though I'm sure leaves nothing to be desired), but making sure their customers get the answers they need. If I ever have a question about a turbine housing, sensor, plug gaps or why my car with a cat is louder than my buddies car with a test pipe(that VSR intake is loud, boy, who'd a thought), they will not hesitate to make sure I understand fully the answer to my question. If whoever picks up the phone doesn't know, they quickly jump to ask a tech and get back to me timely. I've dealt with a lot of shops on all ends of the spectrum and I must say AMS sets the bar for quality all around.

So to the entire crew at AMS, Thank you for your dedication to your customers and(not like anyone has to tell ya but...) keep up the great work.

Alex

I totally concur with your statements. Greatest experience in dealing with any shop thus far. Eric is the man btw!

I only wish AMS was a few minute drive from me, I'd be there ALL the time! I really want Martin to tune my car... I just don't have the time to drive up there with my work schedule... Come to Jacksonville, Fl

Their parts aren't expensive relatively. That's one thing I really respect about these guys, you do NOT pay for the name. They probably do have the power at this point to jack their prices up a little and people would still pay it cuz its AMS, but they don't. Not like HKS or Greddy where your paying for a name. Any part AMS makes, I think, is worth every penny.

I wish I could get road tuned by Martin. I'd love to dive into an AEM cal by Martin and see how a seasoned pro does it. I've been doing a LOT of road tuning myself lately and I'm slowly but surely pefecting my tune to the best of my ability. I just feel like theres a faster, more effective way I could be doing things(being ADD doesn't help my focus very much either )

Scratch that, I didn't bother to look at your sig...

Yea the buschur kit is a good kit but AMS's comes with a tubular manifold and a downpipe. Dont get me wrong, buschurs parts are clearly track proven, but aestheicly, I think AMS takes the cake.

As far as the turbo kits go, you are pretty much paying for the race header that comes with AMS's kit. When it comes to motor builds and head work, both thier prices are comparable. AMS is top notch...and so is Buschur so dont think b/c your kit cost a little less that your not getting top quailty parts. Ah hell, these are the only 2 companies that i deal with.

As far as the thread goes, congrates to AMS for being a awesome shop.

About 3 years ago, I was looking for a vendor to supply my parts for my Evo, which at the time I time-trailed 20m open track sessions. I went through a ton of 'after-market' parts, burning them up and melting them at the track.

I spent the extra-coin, went with AMS parts, and literally tracked my car hard (nick-named: Track ***** 20+ events per year), and NEVER had any AMS part fail.

Thanks again guys, I will let you know when I am ready for my second project.

Thank you for the nice words, This is why we are in this industry

Pure player, The reason our parts cost more is because they cost more to make. We really have no room to move in our prices at all
