4g63 questions for AMS

Got some questions ... not that I'm looking to do any of this anytime soon, but I would like to get some info to mull over:

- Do you guys offer any built Evo IX blocks (i.e., complete crate engine)?
- Is it possible to run an Evo IX block with an Evo VIII head?
- Is it possible to run an Evo IX block and head with an Evo VIII ECU?
- Will the 2.3RR be offered for an Evo VIII block or Evo IX block?
- Given the mods that I have (i.e. AMS VSR intake and AMS turbo kit), would those bolt up to an Evo IX block and head?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the head is the only difference, and the blocks are the same.

yes it is possible to run the Evo VIII head with the Evo IX block. i swapped one out on an Evo VIII because he wanted to run the Evo IX 16g without having to tap for the extra cooling passages.

The VIII head CAN fit the IX block, it's been done.
VIII ECU cannot work on the IX due to MIVEC changes.

Yes we do just like we offer for the EVO VIII

- Is it possible to run an Evo IX block with an Evo VIII head?

You can put an EVO VIII head on a IX block with some small modification

- Is it possible to run an Evo IX block and head with an Evo VIII ECU?

You would need some harness work and a IX standalone

- Will the 2.3RR be offered for an Evo VIII block or Evo IX block?

Both

- Given the mods that I have (i.e. AMS VSR intake and AMS turbo kit), would those bolt up to an Evo IX block and head?

Yes they would.

Thanks for the info.

You'll have to forgive me for asking an ignorant question, but, is it safe to say then that the cooling passages of the IX block do not extend into the head, which is why it would be possible to run a VIII head on the IX block?

Smoked, I've got a nice "barely used" 3071 sitting in my garage that is for sale...
