Sparkplugs for tune?

I have an 05 EVO8 with ~22k miles. I'm about to get it tuned after adding a AMS TBE, fuel pump and MBC. Should I change my sparkplugs before getting tuned or let them be?

ngk bpr7es are less than $2 at your local auto store. they are cheap enough and easy enough to replace. i say why not.

Hi Guys

I replaced mine with HKS Iridiums at about 19k miles. Here, the modders seem to adopt a culture of Spark plug replacement (in the Stage 1 category) before starting any mod.

Go copper and change then more often.
NGK BR8ES copper.

P is for protruding adds 1/2 step in temp. Go full step colder.

Copper br8es until you get things tuned out since they're so cheap. When you're ready for a real world solution to having to swap plugs every oil change pick up a set of NGK br8eix for $27 at Oreilly's, gap them at .027 for up to 24psi and swap them out every 20-25k. The non protruding tip will also give you more of a margin of safety just in case you ever have a failure.

every oil change, lol. who gave you that impression. I would NEVER get the Iridium spark plugs, especially since you say to change them out every 20-25K. The general consensus is to change out the coppers every 15k and the iridium's every 50k.
