Silencer on a AMS 3" TBE

Hey,

I've had the AMS TBE for a long time and Ive been extremely satisfied with it...but now I'm getting complaints from cops and neighbors about the noise. I don't want to get another exhaust and as long as I can make it just a little bit quieter I wont get any more complaints...do they have a silencer for it...or something that will make it quieter without sacrificing a lot of power?

Unfortunately, it's one or the other. I'm looking at installing a cut out now because I hate having a "butt plug" in my exaust tip. I might as well just put the stock exhaust back on because I feel so much power being robbed with the silencer in.

I got a muffler inner silencer for my AMS TBE to avoid problems with neighbors. When I am using it I do not hit boost or anything to avoid feeling that power is being robbed.

The part that I am using is manufactured by Vibrant, which is the same company that supplies AMS with their mufflers, it needed a minor modification (grinding some material from the OD of the piece to achieve better fitment), but it serves the purpose, and so far no more complaints, and I can take it out in about a 30-40seconds. The Vibrant P/N for the silencer is VIB#1184, 3.90'' OD, 2.5'' diameter tuning tube.

Hope this helps!!!

TBE with test pipe also here, and belive me, the silencer quiets it down to an accepatble level where you shouldn't get any more complaints.

Is this silencer installed in the exit of the muffler or the inlet?
