Sorry to hijack the thread, but I did a few pulls tonight and, try as I did to avoid it, I got the clunk shifting fast from 2-3 (never mind 1-2!). Before I break down and buy this, I've heard there is a way to eliminate the clunk just by changing your driving style. I'll probably get this anyway just to be safe, but can anyone elaborate on said driving technique? I'd feel a lot better about myself if I knew I was shifting right in the first place.

I ordered mine last Mon & called today to get a tracking # since it hadn't arrived yet.
Nick told me abt the redesign & the ETA will be @ least 3 wks out. I have a National event in a little over a month, so that will cut it too close to have it installed & the car (re) corner weighted.
I'm glad I called to get an update or I would have been waiting awhile...

I've got the rear diff bushing set from WORKS, and for Daily Driven Evos, the result will be the same (except for the weight savings). You'll be able to hear your rear diff whine (gear lash + harmonics) at highway speeds --- which can be annoying if you're not exploiting the benefits of the mod (aka: attacking the on ramps). IMHO, if you're dedicated to @ss kicking on the highway every day, then you'd probably car less about the whine.
Nice job AMS!

OK.. latest update.
We got the first production pieces in this week. I got the time today to figure out the best way to install one and take pictures for install instructions.
The install ended up being a bit easier than I had originally thought. Unfortunately, you do have to lower the rear cross member to get the mustache bar out but it honestly was not that hard.
The production pieces look awesome and fit like a glove. Hopefully Rich can work on getting the pictures ready tomorrow.

Ok guys, As Ivan stated we have the revision done adding some stronger solid bushings to this peice preventing even less movement back in the Rear differential.
The new price will be $219.95 and we will have this available to ship within two weeks. I will not make it active on the site until then to prevent a large backorder situation. Thanks again for being so patient and tomorrow I will try to have Rich put up some pics of the newly revised pieces.

My main question is on a D/D car making 3XX hp. Cutting off the rear differential movement (with solid bushings) with this bar keeps me from breaking things correct?
I'm not effectively wedging the rear end on two solids and then applying the hammer stroke when I put the power back on in a hurry? I don't want to increase the chance of breaking the diff if there is another way to stop it from bumping without solid mounts.
Or is NO give, the safest?
Noise is not a problem. I'm a DSM guy.

lol at the DSM guy comment, Enough said!
This will actually protect the rear diff more by allowing for less movement.
if would like to protect your rear diff even more install A CF Driveshaft. Your Rear diff will buy you dinner and movie for that little add on.
