need some help AMS..urgent
as the title says, i'm in need of some dire help, i had the stock intake manifold thrown back on the car, the ams vsr was on the car, and ever since i had it put on, it doesn't wanna run right, it'll idle fine and in the 14's afr, but when i go to drive it i cant go past 20% throttle because it will instantly jump up to 20 afr's, it goes so lean that i cant do anything about it but let it die
i had the old map w/ the vsr put back in the car, and added 20% more fuel and it still does the same thing, i have the map that i can email you guys and i'm willing to pay for any/all the help i get, as i have the SLC ProSolo coming up next weekend, and if i dont go i'm going to be out nearly 400 bucks due to hotel room and registration, so please, HELP ME!
Thanks, Edwin

Here to help. Trying to figure our the series of events.
Your car was running fine. You installed the AMS VSR and had your issue of running super lean at over 20% throttle. You pulled the VSR off and put the stock intake back on and the same issue continues.
Is this correct so far?

awesome, thanks!
i've had the VSR on for awhile and it was fine, come friday when i had the stock one installed, it wasnt the same, having the problems listed above, i thought that maybe one of the vacuum lines weren't installed properly, but after looking around, they looked to be fine, so it must be something in the map that is totally f'ed up, i can post it here and have you look at it, and maybe make the corrections needed for it to run right, but i dont have my laptop handy
thanks in advance
I couldnt see just swapping a intake manifold changing things so much that it goes so lean it doesnt want to run... Check your vacuum line going to the fuel pressure regulator and the fpr itself, that could be a issue.

thats what i thought as well, i thought maybe the fuel pump had taken a crap, or something was up w/ the FPR, but everything checked out to be ok
Unmetered air.
Intake leak. Did you change the intake gasket or re-used the old one?
Before you go blaming your map. Here is a quick way of finding an intake leak.
Let it idle.
Spray some kind of thottle body cleaner or carb cleaner around the intake gasket or any where around the intake and see if the rpm changes.
If it does...there is your leak.

ok, just got back from walmart w/ some carb cleaner, sprayed it around the gasket area and nothing, i sprayed it all over the intake mani after that and still nothing..so it cant be any unmetered air
AEM converted to speed density needs load (MAP sensor) and engine speed (and position) to operate. AIT is for trimming fuel.
The only thing replacing the intake manifold could disturb would be the MAP sensor (possibly the connector for the crank sensor) If everything is plugged in correctly, I would suggest looking at the vac line for the MAP sensor as being an issue. Where do you have it connected to on the intake manifold? Can you see load change on your laptop that matches your boost gauge?
There is the possibility that your files were corrupted if you were using a USB to serial converter.
