Part creation request

PLEASE consider this. I'm at the point where I need a sheet metal intake. But I have to pass emissions with my car. Is there anyway you guys can make a sheet metyal intake that can mount all of the emissions crap, but still have the sheet metal intake bonuses. Hook us up. You know allot of people would jump on it. So what do you think? I'm sure someone has brought this to you guys before.

Wouldn't it be easier to just save all of your stock stuff to swap over?

Changing an intake manifold is pretty basic stuff. No measurements or special tools required.

For me the easier thing to do is get the increase of performace out of an aftermarket sheet metal intake that also allows me to pass emissions with all the emissions crap hooked up. Best of both worlds without the pain in the *** of the swap out. Thats got to be worth looking into. I'd buy one today if I knew of one that could do all of that. Tall order, but someone has to be able to do it.

They may prove me wrong but I believe they can add that to their VSR intake for extra $$

I think the only thing you would need added provision for is the EGR valve which shouldn't be too hard to do.

I know they can add the EGR, you won't have a problem getting them to change that.

How much of a gain do you think their intake gave you?

The AMS VSR intake rocks. Had really nice gains on my 50 trim setup; VSR +65mm TB = ~25wtq across most of the powerband and ~40whp at peak power. If you get one, you may also want to make sure that AMS adds a provision for the stock PCV system. I had it added to mine.

You guys have given me hope. It looks like I'll be getting one of these. Thanks allot fellas! I won't get the big one, but I'll be calling AMS up for this piece.
