Been there done that... You can tune 1200 on stock ecu, especially when running
e85 because your scaling goes way down. Its a little more difficult when tuning for 91 but not that much.

It is possible.

As with any performance modication, there is always a compromise. I wouldn't expect the car to drive 100% stock, but I can make it drive very well.

Often the issues that people have with larger injectors on pump gas is during, idle, startup and very light load cruising conditions.

Drivability will suffer slightly. If this is ok with you, I would be happy to tune the setup to its full potential for you.

Chris,

thanks for the reply, will hopefully be coming in tuesday, am finalizing it with Darius.

How bad is the cold weather start up? i am in northwest indiana with pretty much the same climate as west chicago.

Also, has gas city, etc, switched to the winter blend already? is this a concern if they switch blends after the tuning date?

Thanks for answering my concerns,

Asim.

Winter blend has been in effect for a while. I know in illinois the best blend of e-85 is sold only during july and august. Its september 1st when the change to winter blend begins to occur. search for the 3 levels of e-85 to know for sure when the changes take effect in your state.

The start up should not be bad, when the car is idling high, it actually runs really good.

As long as the ambient air is warm enough for the E85 to atomize, the car should have no issues starting.

I don't think this is true. I checked with the distributer to central Il at least and E85 is delivered May 15 through Oct 15. E75 Oct 15 through April 14 and E80 through May 14.

I use 1200cc, it runs and drives like stock and no idle problems all on stock ecu.
