paint my intercooler

do you think it would ruin my ams intercooler if i painted it black?

use radiator paint and dont put it on really thick and it will be fine

Painting it completely can actually effect the FMIC's ability to cool. I would much rather you anodize it to avoid hurting its performance characteristics.

On a related note eric, iv had my AMS FMIC for about 3 years now. The paint used to spell out AMS on the front of it is chipping away and starting to fade. Not a real big deal but its kind of an eye sore. Any advice?

If you like you can bring the core in and we will re-stencil it for no charge. or you can send it in.

you can paint it yourself for cheap...black radiator paint...but it will hold in heat...anodizing is a bit more expensive but disipates heat much much better...

yeah the anodizing is actually a method of color changing the actual metal (kind of)
so its not like a huge build up like paint would be and it's just a few bux more than powder coating in my neck of the woods.
