Most-Wanted, if you're in the market for a Gallardo, why would you care if an exhaust system is worth 10k? Shouldn't that be pocket change for you?

Gallardo isnt 200k anymore.. they can be had for 80k.. No matter how wealthy I might be i would have trouble spending 10k on an exhaust system.. Some clowns did it though for the GTR.. what a joke..

I guess we're different spenders. If I can lay down 80k in cash without affecting my lifestyle, I wont care to spend some extra money.


I heard a guy in our area charged 7k for an SRT-4 exhaust system. Have you heard about it Mike? I find it hard to believe.

 

Last year I would've and wouldn't of thought twice about it, but my 3 month old son has changed the way I think about things. Its just different now and in a good way. I could've easily bought the C63, but this S4 is half the price and gives me a ton of extra mod money. This car will be sick on the track just like my RS was. As soon as it arrives it heads to AWD and will hit the dyno and scales for a weight check. I have some really trick parts going in this car. Big Brake kits, etc. Just because you have it doesnt mean you want to watch it blow down the street. After it is all said and done with mods I'll have about $60K in the car and it will be unique and bas *** looking. The C63 is $81K just for the car and will be just like every other C63 on the road. Add some mods and you have about $100K in it. No way, not for a C class. I would definitely buy a Gallardo instead. Besides I already had a C63 and a Gallardo and its time to try something different. Out of all the cars I've ever owned I have never owned a S/C car This will be fun. Thanks Mike for everything the last few days. Your the man

Growing up I had it rough. No way I will do that to my son. He will have everything he ever needs within my power. I refuse to be careless with money now. A few nice mods and I'm good.

He seemed to like it... And thanks. Mom bounced back quite nicely She's a trooper. I miss the evo but this should be a fun project... I will keep this up to date as I move forward. I'm not planning any big engine mods, but the chassis will be stiff 30mm sway bar up front and 24mm in the back. And I'm going to put it on Bilstein PSS10's most likely. The brakes are 370mm fronts w/ 6 piston calipers. All this is subject to change depending on whats available over the next few weeks. Thats the hardest part about this build. There is nothing available. The evo is easy, just pull out the wallet and everything and anything is available at a price. Here, not even an ecu is available

 

I was gonna ask you about your son. Last time I heard from you your wifey was pregnant. I'm glad everything is ok. Let us know when the new beast is done, I'd love a ride in it!!! Maybe even buy it from you when you decide to move on.

 

Awesome car - I think the current gen S4 is one of the best looking cars on the road today. Should be extremely competent. Cute son!

Brian why waste your time with audi's just get another gallardo and throw twin turbos in it, then its game over for everything.

 

Thanks. Parts are already ordered Waiting on a few other things. Getting some trick stuff from Germany too. Its gonna be fun. This two week wait for the car is killing me And I'm going to miss the next track day But it will give me enough time to do the break in and initial mods/testing before the next track day in May...

 

Thought about it. There is one for sale right now, cheap too. But I want my son to be by side all the time and he cant sit up front for a awhile. This will be fun enough to hold me over. I will make a jump to a two seater when he is old enough to cruise up front. It will be either the GT3 RS or Gallardo. As they keep coming out with LP560's and now the newest Gallardo the prices on Superleggara's and say something like a regular 08 have plumeted. I doubt I would do a twin turbo set up though. Just a nice Tubi exhaust....
