may be a dumb question but does anyone in florida run a no thermostat set up?
i recently changed mine out and autozone gave me the wrong part to i put it back together with no thermostat and it just made me wonder being down south and everything is there any disadvantage to running a no thermo set up?

esp. being in the heat, a no thermostat situation might actually make u see higher than normal temps as the coolant mix doesn't get chance to absorb heat generated

get back a unit

autozones/advanced auto places have been known to sell the regular lancer thermos for the evo which clearly are not interchangable

evos sometimes doesn't exist in their list.
just "lancer-2008"
so be realy carefull buying parts for evos at autozone/pepboys, etc
you better buy from your mitsu dealer/online

That is correct the car will run hotter as the water does not sit in the radiator long enough to cool and recirc.. We always run them on street cars..
