RPS clutch rules!!!!
RPS clutch rules!!!!
George,
Thanks for the RPS Clutch!!!!!!!!
Wow! What a difference a clutch makes especially with the restrictor removed. I had my clucth installed by a expert clutch installer in SOCAl who use to install clutches for clutch masters. It took him about 5 hours to do the clutch. The engament of clutch is so smooth and I am happy with how it feels. The stock clutch disc to my surprise was still in good condition and flywheel was not glazed so resurfacing was not needed only minor cleaning was needed The problem with stock clutch was the preasure plate was not holding. The new RPS Clutch has far better preasure plate and I am happy with purshase. I will post my 1/8 mile time when I run at Qualcom staduim in SD.
Peace,
Snoop

The SS clutch line is not really needed since engagement is awesome without the line. Doug at Boost Solutions say it is not needed.
This is best Clutch for the money.

If you don't mind me askin, how much for the clutch. I just bought my evo a week 1/2 ago and I have been blessed with a ****ty clutch. the car only has 1500 miles on it and I've only launched it twice and the first launch was quick and smooth and as soon as i shifted into second. the awfull smell of the clutch about made me throw up. It sucks to buy a new car and already need a new clutch, but oh well, you gotta pay to play. any info would be greatly appriciated.

No more 4th gear Grind!!!
When stock clutch was removed the disc was still good and flywheel was not glazed. What went bad was the pressure plate. Once my RPS clutch was broken in I no longer get grind going into 4th. The problem appears to be related to the preassure plate not holding. I also had a hard time going into 4th gear and now it is as smooth as butter.
