I Call this session of the Ottawa Valley Lancer Society to session!

I'd like to find out how many of these things we have out on the road in the Ottawa, Hull and surrounding areas.

I myself have purchased a brand new 2003 Lancer Oz w/ Manual Tranny and Slider in Silver. I don't have ABS because, quite frankly in a car of this size.... and MT to boot ABS is useless.

Took delivery on the 22nd of November, its starting to get hard to find manual trannys. I should know wink, wink.

Come to think of it, I came out a bit strong on the ABS issue.

ABS is not useless, it is actually very useful on larger vehicles but in my opinion on a MT car of this size its not really a necessity when in conjuction with a driver who know how to control a manual transmission vehicles well. And seeing as I've driven manual trannys all my life, for myself the value of ABS doesn't justify the price.

I thought I should probably clarrify my personal perspective there.

I'm located in the south central area of Ottawa. In the Manotick area.

I do the majority of my driving in the Manotick/Barrhaven area, so if you see a silver OZ in this area its most likely me. I also do a lot of driving around the Bank St south area near my home base of Donnelly Mitsu.

I know I saw a yellow OZ the other night on Fallowfield, maybe it was you man .

Ya, that was me... BTW sorry for cutting you so close(It must have been you, cause I've seen only 1 Silver Lancer on Woodroff).

 

If we can get a few other members, maybe we could setup a meet somewhere this summer. If there is not enough people we can always get some Montreal's members.

What would be a great place to meet?

I decided NOT to get my 2003 lancer OZ with the ABS system and saved 500$CA doing so.

 

Nice to see more of you Lancer guy's ou the.............i alomost gave up, nice to Blaze back here too,havent seen you in a while well let me know where and when you guys wanna hook up,not much summer left. i live in the West end near Bayshore so middle city somewhere would be good.
