Not at a dealer is it?

And 65000 is 15000 more than it should be (approx) after currency conversion.

Youd spend less if you drove to the US and picked one up there.

Wow is that EVER not worth it.
15000 markup to have it brought into the country?
My ***!

Wait.
We'll have them in quantity before you know it.
And they'll be 40-45k.

$15,000 isn't the mark-up, Customs Canada charges duty on cars not purchased within Canada. The dealer he bought it from probably bought it in the states and added duty taxes to it.

The sales rep at the dealership where I bought my OZ said that MMSA would sell the dealership one for $63,000......so I think thats the going price for an Evo 8.....it's a rip off, but some people can't wait.

Something about the bumper not being able to withstand a specific amount of damage at 5 mph....also the fact that it has a FMIC.

Essentially the insurance companies don't want it here because in front end collisions the bumper and FMIC would sustain more damage than they see as reasonable....*******s screwed us again.

(Sorry if I repeat stuff that others may have already said in other threads... i know, everyone already knows about the bumper...sorry)

i talked to north van and vancouver mitsubishi dealerships a week ago and they said that has to redesign that bumper cause at 5mph impact in canada it should only do body damage and not damage any internals... i guess the ICBC's of the country don't wanna pay out to replace internals....

i imagine that they will take their sweet time to official introduce to canada... 15k CDN$ seems to be a lot if it's not even going to be readily insurable....

but.. just my opinion...

I just looked at that website (http://www.wolfesauto.com/mitsubishi.html)

I've heard (rumour) that the display EVO is travelling from dealership to dealership around BC.... maybe just a marketing thing? anyone know if this is true?
