I'm new to this forum, but this site has helped me out a lot so i thought it would be cool to help everyone 2.

I recently got my car tinted 32% all around from auto-links for ($180) and i'm planning to get a sun strip tint and backlight tinted.

If anyone is interested in getting their vehicle tinted post here and we can arrange a group buy (which saves us a few $$).

Just throwing it up there to save us a few $$

P.S. If any of you are going to FMP meet you can see the tints from my car, highly recommend this place, very friendly =).

 

Actually lets set a soft deadline for request, :P i kind of want to get the sun and backlight tints quickly.

Okay so we have 5 so far, i'll get us a quote. I'll give it a few more days to see if anyone else wants in.

 

I highly recommend if your going to do a group buy that you go to a place that is going to give you a good warranty, problem with tints is after two summers their quality grade will show. I have a 5 year warranty with mine. if it starts turning purple you get a new job done. Make sure you work that out first. Cause you dont want everyone getting the same thing and then *****ing about the same problem.
But its a good idea, especially doing it in May when its not too hot or two cold. I have had my tint for a year and havent had any problem, didnt even install that tint protector. Let me know how you tint group buy goes.

here's a few notes and facts that might help clear things

- the shades they have available are 5%, 20%, 30%, and 40%. the price includes any shade of your choice.

- door panels are removed for installation, and one piece rear windows

- They use the following film http://www.sun-gard.com/automotive_performx.html
(receive factory lifetime warranty.)

- There is also a 5 year shop warranty (I believe, i'll double check that).

I'll wait just about 3 more days before i strike a deal with him, we need more bodies for more discounts !!

As for the HID's
They have about 16 month warranty or 24 (i forgot lol but i'll call him and double check). The HID's is a Hi/Lo type with HID for low (it's actually very bright) and halogen bulb for high beam (so you don't blind people).

Of course if you don't need the Hi/Lo function, there is another cheap kind that only has Low beam (which obviously is cheaper but, to be honest i don't think i'll be using my high beams with HID's so this might actually be more economical).

(10 year Labor Warranty)

HID: $180
18 month Warranty

They are open Tues to Sunday (Monday is a day off)

it will cost $360 originally for HID's and Tints
but the final cost is now

$330 for both
