So I'm lookin to get some aftermarket springs since there are a few options out there now and i just slapped on some rims but was wondering what an average install would cost me.

are you putting them on yourself or having a shop do it?

$200-250 with alignment. Anything more and you're getting ripped off.

when i installed my springs on my car it was free, my neighbor did it for me(he is a mechanic) and it took him two hours from start to finish

I don't know how big of a difference it is from the 08's to 03's for suspension but i think 2 hours labour is all it should be which would run roughly from 150-200 then your alignment which the cheapest i found was $80

$500 is a lot of money, i would do some searching and call a bunch of places first... or maybe see if a fellow TLC member could give you a hand and do it yourself...thats a lot cheaper

Im installing mine next weekend on my IX SE. Even for the inexperienced, its doable. Save youself some money and learn a little about your car in the process! This is for Evos but most of the parts are the same/ similar between models and years.:

in Alberta (maybe even canada) we have set shop times to stop gouging and springs are rated at 1.5 hours a corner, so if you argue it down to 1 hour a corner and 1 hour for the alignment, with our current shop rates at $100.00/hr that is ~$500.00

Sorry havn't really been on since i posted this. Thanks for all the feedback gives me something to go on.
I would love to do the install myself (obviously would need the help of a fellow member) but i just assumed it was too advanced.
I'm not in a huge rush to buy..since the rims put a nice dent in my bank account already but when i do i'll do some more research and maybe even take on the task myself.
