1st maintaince

I called up my dealership to see how much they would charge for the 1st maintaince and they told me like $180. O_O

That seems a lot of money for a simple check-up and oil-change (my old mechanics charge me like $25 ) , where did u guys get your maintenance done in Toronto and how much did it cost?

thats crazy man, i think they'r trying to rip u off. when i first did my service it was free coz i have a lifetime oil change basically its just an oil change & some inspections. oil change cost around $40-$50 i guess. i think we have to get service from dealership if we wanna keep our warranty, right? if u look at the maintanance brochure they have different types of service like type A,B,C,etc. the first 2 services arent too expensive but if u do type C u get charge for at least $200, its kinda sucks paying too much money for just a simple service.

Yeah I agree, with only 4000K, the only service you should require is an oil change and for that matter it could be done at any local shop.

go with type 1/a service if u have around 6000km should be between $50-60...type 2/b if u have 12,000km includes tire rotation and brake inspection...have a look in ur warrenty book and you will see the schdule.

Just over 4k, the mechanics I spoke to said I dont need to do the maintenance until the service light comes on (which is at 6k I think). I was just wondering if I can just bring my car to my own mechanics cuz dont they need to reset that service reminder.
