Hi there guys, Im totally new to this forum and this is actually my first car, so I dont know much about anything. I own a 2009 GTS Lancer and Im actually looking to buy some rims for next year. I came across an ad on Kijijis:

These are the exact rims that I was looking at (with the red outline) but I was wondering, if I were to buy the rims itself, would it fit onto my stock tires? I read somewhere that if I do this, it would stretch out the tires itself. The car is on lease and Im planning on returning it after the lease (Going to go for the ralliart!, just moving up the cycle lol) so then Im not sure if it would last long enough until the lease ends if i stretch it out. If so, Would it be wise to buy the tires as well? I dont know much but Im somewhat sure that these rims would fit on the Lancer (But would need to know if these rims would fit as well) , but I'd need some advice from you guys since you would know for sure. Thanks for looking and sorry about me being a big newbie and all, but this would be a great help!

dont stretch tires just to accommodate the rim

if you can get 18s to fit the stock tires then go with that

nonono i want them! haha i sound like a 2 year kid =P but hey if you're interested in them too i saw some more links for these rims as well. There was someone that was selling for around 1000 with better tires that only got like 2 weeks worth of use. Im talking to this guy now and hes got a few months in already, so it would be the same since i'd have to replace these tires in a years time if it lasts so itd cost the same. So blancy how was the lancer meet? I really wanted to go, since the fight was somewhat dissapointing lol xD I was wondering after these rims, im just need to see if you can teach me to do the red badge and the black lining! thanks for oyur help btw =]

Hmm well a warmer date would be nice, but yea you are right, might not be possible seeing that its just getting colder everyday T_T. Well im free mostly on the weekends and weekdays (depending on work) but if it doesnt get warmer, then i can meet you at the next lancer meet and i can ask you there instead, wouldnt want to trouble you! =]
