how is the evo8 going to be common when there are so few sent to america. a lot of dealers still have them sitting ont here lots. my dealership is one of them.l have 2 evo's sitting on my lot right now and i have not had one person come in or call on and evo yet. so if they are so commone then why hasnt anyone called me on them. especially considering i am willing to deal on them.

That guys on crack...I live in Toronto, Ontario and go to university in London, Ont a 1.5 hr drive from Detroit....I've seen 1 Evolution 8 in my life and thats the Ultimate Racing Evo 8 which has Cali license plates.

Evolution 8's driving through the states are rare, and through Canada....well it's like spotting a Mclaren F1.....you just never see them.

Every Lancer owner in Canada would KILL to get there hands on an Evolution....myself included, I'd sell my Lancer in a heart beat....but with the crap exchange rate and the RAPE I'd get bringing it over the border in taxes and tariffs It'd cost me probably $47,000.....

A JDM Evo 8 would cost well over $60,000 to buy, ship and get to customs in Canada....and thats if you could even get it legalized here.

I feel your pain dagame_hhh......Americans in Michigan don't understand what's available right under there noses, meanwhile Canadians 200km up the 401 are worshipping the asphalt Evo's drive on, because we don't have them available.

CHEAP, when they do come they will be about $50g's that is not a cheap car in my mind $15-$25 is a cheap car, also like spool said they are very rare i think the USA got 2000 cars, which means we get maybe 500.

Bear in mind that's 500 of the Evolution 9......ain't no 8 coming here anytime soon.

2006 Evolution 9????? Possible....but by that time the new 2006 Nissan Skyline GT-R will be out and available in N.A.........I'll also have graduated by then!

What to pick: Evo 9, WRX STI, 350Z or GT-R? Not a hard decision

U'll see my Yellow Lancer Evo 8 a lot in Toronto often (Markham, Richmond Hills, Highway 7, Pacific Mall). I'll probably be there this saturday either in the evo or another car. I come up almost every week.

now that i think of it if he is in canada there are no evo's he may be confused with the o-z rally edition. He did say "with the low price"

He probably saw my car and thought it was an Evo....I've been asked about 15 times buy now....it's annoying. "is that an Evo, is it AWD and 271 hp?" "wanna race my buddies s2000?"
