Air Intake Question

Wondering which air intakes are 100 percent safe for ontario laws and to keep my cars warranty.

I have access to a guy that does custom air intakes and installed it is like 300 dollars, would an intake like this be safe for the warranty as well?

Also wondering where is a cheap/good place to get car accessories, like seat covers, seat belt covers, stickers...etc....

Well, I have the SRI and my warranty is still good. I don't think intakes really make a difference though no matter what you choose. It's not really something that can hurt the car.

Seat covers and such are pretty cheap at Canadian Tire and Wal-Mart lol.

Yes it can void your warranty, if the CAI or the SRI is the cause of the issue. Any mods you do can void the warranty if it's the cause of the issue. We all know that CAI can cause hydrolocks so SRI are safier in a way, but CAI generally increases your performance more than a SRI.

It is not illegal to mod your car (yet).

a intake in itself, as long as it is made properly, will not void your warranty. If Mitsubishi wants to void your warranty, i wanna hear about it

lol rice . But to making car louder it's muffler + intake and they will cost $$$. In making intakes they need a sticker which validates that it is still conected to the exhaust recirculation if not and a cop pulls you over you may be in a bit of trouble. I know on my AEM SRI their is a sticker that says it is connected and designed properly. Also with custom intakes you need to watch for welds. Inside tube should be straight and smooth no weld bumps and other things that will impare air movement. I got a magnaflow exhaust axle back and intake and trust me it pretty loud.

List of parts I know for 2009 GTS
Exhaust: Magnaflow, greddy, apexi, injen, RRM, many more.
Intake: AEM, injen, RRM, homemade, Fulita,

Why don't you start saving for that when you meet someone ? lol

My car sounds alright with just the SRI. ($149.99US ?) If my camera could take more than 20 sec. videos I'd show you.

how much was that installed and everything? it adds to hp right? could u feel the difference after? does it help with fuel economy as well?

i was with a girl for almost 7 years, we both moved on like 7 months ago and i saved enough for our future together, but i dont wanna spend this money on things i really dont need when i dont know who i will meet in the future...hopefully the near future...
