CAI or SRI ?

Hey

After doing some mods to the car, I think my next step would be getting either a SRI or a CAI. I actually have a CVT 09 Lancer GTS, so I was wondering if any of you guys have any good recommendations on anything (and if you can, where to get it xD). Im not exactly sure of the difference between the CAI or the SRI, but to me, performance isn't exactly the first priority (unless they differ a lot). Im looking for a better and more unique sound, but then again, price is also another factor. Any help or suggestion would do, and thanks for looking !

SRI's are supposed to make more low-end power, while CAI's are supposed to make more high-end power. SRI's are cheaper, but the majority of people prefer CAI's. I know JRP carries the Injen/AEM CAI's, but im not sure if they have SRI's though.

Thx for the reply =) ^^

Im actually heavily considering the RRM SRI, because I've been doing some reading at mitsubishi-forums.com, it seems like a lot of CAI's and SRI's are not made for the 2.4L engine, whereas the RRM SRI is the only one that was specifically made for it. I took a look at the price and it seems good, and saw some videos and has a nice sound to it as well. Would someone recommend this SRI, or would there be one of better value and would be better?

i had a rrm SRI for 2.0L engine. i thought it was a fun toy to have for a while. for RRM's price, you can't beat it.

now i have K&N drop-in filter cuz i've grown out of the intake noise. however, their cone-filter isnt the best in the market.. i had cosmetic issues w/ the cone cover glue melted and it fell off due to engine heat (in the winter!) personally i would get the rrm SRI intake, and switch out for a K&N cone filter in a year or two.

The Injen and Fujita can be either CAI or SRI. Could be useful if you don't like one of them ... I have the Injen and only use it as CAI, for now.

Fujita has a CAI? And Injen has a SRI? For the 08-09's?
