Lowering Springs : Progress or RRM?

Hey tehre guys, seeing that the summer is almost here and I've already done mostly everythign i can to the car, the last thing im missing is having the car lowered. (I had some second thoughts, like driving in winter or having to raise it again but seeing the comparison, I gotta do it LOL) Right now, Im just deciding between two different brands, and i've seen some people with the RRM springs and less with the progress. According to their page, they both offer 1.5 drop in the front and 1.4 in the rear.

Progress:

RRM:

Since the progress springs are cheaper, I'd like to go for them, seeing that they provide the same drop, but has anyone tried them? Or should I be safe and go with RRM? Any suggestions would be great, thanks guys! and see you today at the meet xD

Your still safe with Progress, they are a pretty reputable company.

well seeing that they offer a cheaper shipping and the same drop, i guess it'd be smart to go with the progress. I've actually asked my bodyshop though, it'd take 200 bucks to align and lower the car...i think that is kind of overpriced. Anyone know of a good shop and how much they do it for?

That's actually a good price! You won't find much cheaper than that, and if you do you may want to hear some testimonials before going through.

Do you mean testimonials for the shops work? or the springs themselves? Right now Im pretty much caught between getting the tein S. techs or the progress. I dont want the car too low, and I've seen lots of pics with the progress or the rrm, but the tein is only 30 dollars more, so i'd like to consider that as well. I believe you've seen my lancer last time hydro xD, (the black lancer with the lip and the red and black rims? short asian kid?) What would you say i go with? tein or progress? Id prob want to check out your ride too since i think you have the tein s as well right? and as for the bodyshop, well i've been to them with all my stuff and theyve done a great job so im not that worried. Thanks for all the help hydro, hope to see you soon at the meet.

one thing you should cnsider,as much as the s-techs look the best in terms of drop,if you already have a lip on the car and drop it 2.1inch in the front, your gonna be pretty low,and will risk damage to your lip , especially when your driving into a sloped driveway, speedbumps etc, i have the rrm splitter and no drop and i scrape on driveways with a small slope to it,so i couldnt do a big drop as much as i like the s-techs , just my 2cents

WAIT A MINUTE!!! Yo Felix your lip WILL get f@cked if you go with Teins!!! Me and the guys were talking about it that day we met, your lip is already low enough that you can't lower too much and with the Teins you will be dangerously low at the front! I forgot this was you or I would've told you not to waste your time considering it earlier, I think the lowest you should go is 1.7 Front (Eibach's) IF THAT!!! I'll have them installed next week for you to look at, and make a decision from that.

Oh ****, i actually went ahead with the Eibachs seeing that they were cheap and only few were left on tirerack...well hopefully its not too low. I guess if anything ill just paint the lip?? xD damn stupid me. It'll prob still take a while for me to get them, and if anything i guess ill sell it to get some other ones. And yea, lemme know when you got them on ! Ill def want to check them out, prob run a session while at it to make it more interesting LOL

My bad man, I didn't put 2&2 together and figure out it was you earlier. I'm always down for a sess! I'll get G to link you when the install is complete. How much did you pay for the Eibachs? And Absolute, first JRP told me three weeks for Tein coils and that was a month ago! I'm not going all summer with the Monster Truck look. lol.

yea man, i cant stand how its like we're driving 4x4's =P. I actually paid 270 since tirerack includes all taxes and customs for it. Im planning to install right when i get them probably, so yea ill let you guys know when i do it. well i did a little measuring and there should be plenty of space, just that my lip might get scartched if i go uphill or a big speed bump...But yea hopefully it'll be good, crossing my fingers xD
