Canadian Lancer Club
basically there is going to be a club and it is slowly being put together, but it will really get serious in the spring when all the car shows are starting and whatnot. there is a website being put together and the url is on one of the earlier pages. basically, right now we are testing the waters and trying to get enough people together before we get too serious about this.
I'm Canadian, but the Brain Drain moved me to sunny California four years ago.
Interestingly enough, when I was pondering a new vanity license plate for my new car, "CNDN EVO" was already taken.

Damn, after a long while of delays and problems, I have good news and bad news.
Bad news, PostNuke is not fit for a site like this, so its going to have to be custom built, which is another week or so. I've started the CMS about 4 days ago so there is progress.
Good news, I created a nice input form that will gather all, lets say, "pre members" for the club.
The form can be found here:

If/When CLC goes gold, we will have a domain.
If your intrested please fill out the form above, it is greatly apperciated and your submission can be the one that will decide if CLC should be go or not!

i45, one thing. in the form and i quote "If you where to pay a members fee, what would be most reasonable:", the word "where" should be "were". just thought i'd bring it up. i filled out and submitted the form, it looks pretty good. glad to see that at least one person in the club is good with online coding and such. anyone reading this thread should click the link 2 posts above and fill out the questionnaire. be sure to fill the comments box with any suggestions you might have for the club as a whole. things like what activities you would like to have and such.
on a side note, we had a small meet and greet today at Krispy Kreme in Mississauga and it turned out alright. 4 cars showed up which is a tie for the most we've ever had show up to a meet. a good start, but we need more people to come out and show their support so that we know that the canadian lancer club (CLC) is a good idea.
as a final comment i will suggest that if we need someone to be one of the main organizers of the CLC and to contact everyone with meet info, organize club activities, seek sponsorship, get merchandise, etc. then i would be glad to do that.

just out of curiosity, who's the ***** who voted "no - civic/sunfire boys will make fun of us."
i find that real funny cuz sunfires are such piece of **** cars. although civics are great cars, just too many around.

So far we got 6 submissions, which is pretty good in about 7-9 hours
Dr. Crash that would be great concerning key organizers and coordinators, nice to see people offering themselves to the development and growth of CLC And as well its nice 2 hear that some people showed up at the Toronto Meet 2nite , good numbers not only from previous meets, though considering its winter and some people just getting off of school/finishing exams, and the location, I think that was pretty good.
By the comments and results of the submissions so far I feel that the CLC Should, and most likely will go gold Especially by spring, so in that case I'm setting up my schedule to re-continue the new CMS.
