So my Lancer is "injured"...

Driving home from work Friday night around 7:00 pm in Toronto, about to cross through Bay St. on Lakeshore Blvd. W. in the extreme left lane when, out of nowhere, the guy beside me on the right and about one carlength up decides he REALLY needs to get onto Bay St. So he turns.

Directly in front of me.

I cream into his door, so my front bumper, headlight, fender and hood are crunched, but I'm going 65 km/h, so he spins and bumps against my rear quarterpanel and bumper. Yay!

Boy (after being found at fault - GO FIGURE) tries to sweet talk me into not showing to court when he goes to fight the charge, since he's still a student and, hey, why take a day off work when the car will be fixed by then? I'm thinking to myself that I get one day a year to take off for whatever I need, and I might just save it for him.

I will post pics when I get the chance to get to the bodyshop Monday (since even though I could drive it, the fender was over the tire, and me hitting a bump might have punctured the tire). And so I get to test drive a '03 Toyota Corrolia for two weeks or more.

Just wanted to vent about that. Blah...

I got rear-ended over the holidays too. Some punk kid 2 cars behind creamed the Protege behind me and sent her into my bumper. $2000 to replace everything, plus I have to show up in court to testify for his careless driving charge. Stupid kid.

Well, I'll be getting a cheque from my ins. company once the damaged is assessed and whatnot, but I'm guessing around $5,000 if not more. I'm just happy the airbag didn't go off.

And hey, if you do show up (so long as he got charged and you're not at fault, you TECHNICALLY don't have to show), you get $55 I heard. I plan on being there for pissing him off and getting the money...
