That's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard.
You're telling me that you want to sell your car, post it at 20K, and then go put another 5K of aftermarket mods into it? Let's not even talk about the depreciation on those parts, which would realistically put your cost quite a bit higher.
If I had a car for sale,, I sure wouldn't sink any more money into it. But I guess I'm just smart that way.

Because there are more parts so the car is worth more.
Some place in Chicago is selling there evo for $50,000 with $20000 in mods. So I'm sure a Lancer with $5000 in mods is worth it.

Would you buy a USED turbo at full price? I sure hope you wouldn't. So why would someone who was already planning to sel their vehicle spend another (for example) $5000 on their car, knowing full well that when it comes time to sell the car, they'll only get $3000 for the mod(s)?
Who's stupid enough to waste even more money on something they're trying to get rid of? Raise your hands.
It just doesn't make sense. Or am I not making sense?

Well, I'm not even going to bother anymore. I'm just trying to figure out why ILS/Lancer4Sale upped the asking price so much. It just doesn't make sense. It's not a small difference either, it was 1/5 of the price of your car for god's sakes.
I don't know about the lifespan of those mods you got, but it would make a substantial difference if he put them in right when he got the car, or near the end. 2500 km isn't exactly peanuts when it comes to the life of a car.
I just hope you did your homework, and if you didn't, then do it now, so at least you'll know what to expect from your purchase.

I think 2500 kms is peanuts, considering that most people drive there cars for 100k km or more. 2500kms is like 2.5% of 100k kms. The little rubber hairs on the tires are still visible and there is green lines on the treads from when they were new.
So what are you saying I need to replace my exhaust already? and Intake as well?

No, I'm just saying if you spent $25K on something, wouldn't you want to know all the details? It couldn't hurt to ask for the guy for some info at this piont, seeing as how you're not getting the money back.
It's the least he could do, and actually, he should have done that to begin with.

I called his place again and the same person answered and wouldn't give me his number in London, they said he'll call back sometime.....whatever that means.
I'm going to ask for all my money back and he can take the car back.

if you signed the papers, its a done deal.
unless you find out he lied over some sort of WRITTEN agreement you did, then there is nothing you can do. (such as mods that arent there). bill of sales are always as-is unless stated so
