I hate when they try to trick you like that. I saw a Volvo cop once...good thing i noticed the lights on the inside first.

 

I was in vancouver last week and saw this crazy civic SIR cop car =)

 

In New York the use Z-28 Interceptors, but they aren't unmarked. An Eclipse? jeez, a friggin Honda Accord could outrun that all day long.

 

there is a tricked out orange integra in hackensack NJ they use sometimes, n down here in FL the have all kinds of cars, vettes, stangs and camaros mainly

 

well, correct me if i'm wrong, but that's entrapment. if that eclipse pulls up and revs on you, and you go for it, it's the equivalent of a cop putting a bag full of money in front of you, and arresting you when you take it.

if you raced it, then they radioed in other units to pull you over, then that's a different story. maybe... any lawyers in here?

but then again, what would a lawyer be doing driving a lancer? haha...

 

yes your right jtc that is an entrapment and it is legal becuase you took the bait....so be careful who ya racing with..but why race on the street?...just head to an autocross or something to test your car's limit

why race on the street?? more fun...you don't have any obstacles or unknowns on a track

cops drive all sorts of things around here...i've seen intrepids, volvos, crown vics, caravans, windstars, caprices, etc...and i don't know what they do to the vans but i've seen them haul some serious *** when they need to!

the entrapment applies just as very much the same as the bait car theory and many people haven taken on unmarked souped up vehicles and got in trouble

 

you know most of the time there actually pretty decent...Just the other day i got pulled over for my lights (again, man i ahve to change my bulbs) and i started talking to him... cleared up a lot of questions I had. I found out carbon fiber hoods are legal long as the engine block isnt visible ( i heard last week other wise) and i aslo found out that cold air intakes ARE legal as long as the vacume hose is hooked up, heat shields are NOT nessassary. Guess this clears that up.
BTW he let me go no ticket (and i was speeding too 25 over)

if you are street racing and you get caught obviously the cops are going to give you a hard time...there are much safer ways to race if you want to know more ask me about it at the meet.
