What's Up With the gas prices

What is going on with these gas prices?? How can the price of gas go up .10 cents in just on evening?

I just wanted to know what people are paying for gas and what kind of octane are you using.

I've been runnig 92 octane, full tank is costing me 35$, I'll get 450km on that full tank.

How much mileage are you getting.

I'm running 89 octane in my ES. However, with gas upwards of 98.5 per litre I'm eyeing 87 octane.

$2.45 a gallon... for 91 $3.00 for 98 (US dollars) Northern California. Just be grateful you get more than the 18 MPG that I get. It is OPECs wanting to bump up their profits. They are backing off becasue if the higher oil prices damage economys too much purchaes will fall. Not to mention the gasoline electric hybrid cars are on the horizon... 60 mpg...

In Richmond the prices are at 98.5 for the cheap stuff. I got it yesterday at 89.9. Its pretty ****ty when you think 89.9 is a bargain. lol. It's just gonna get worse as the summer comes.

Basically you can thanks George Bush for that. He is close friends witrh the boys at Enron and when they were caught for the biggest fraud in American history all the evediance just went away. This cost tax payers Billions of dollers. No investigation or nothing. Yet a ******* givin from a former whitehouse emoployee to a former presediant had a huge investigation.
Thats why you get raped in the *** at the pumps. Remember that 64% of the money you pay for gas goes to taxes in Canada.

Want to know more about why there so high?

Here's a site on where to find cheaper gas. (if they are actually updating it) The Pioneer station besides the 2nd Tims that we went to last Saturday seems to be cheaper all the time.

I'm not sure how difficult it would be to broadcast a text message to everyone in our club (at least in your area, no point sending a message to Calgary for cheap gas in Toronto) if anyone happens to drive by a station that sells cheaper gas. Maybe this is something we can do as a group to help each other out. Cool?

Yo man, I don't know how Mitsubishi can pass these cars off as economy cars. They get absolutely **** gas mileage.

So In Summary

1) You get screwed because the engine is 120hp to begin with and takes like $8k to get decent performance.

2) You get screwed because that 120hp engine sucks up gas like a V6.

I don't remember exactly how much kms I got on a tank, but it was somewhere around 400, but not over 410.

MY 99 Z24 with a 2.4L 150hp engine gets over 500 kms city and close to 600 highway.

Man-o-man is this 2.0L good for anything?

Done venting....

Trust me an Intake isn't going to change your mileage that much.

Driving style? Maybe if you drive around at 4-5k rpm through every shift. But that's just beating on your car.

Aside from all that I'm just trying to point out that 400 or so km's is ridiculously low for a car that's supposed to be economical.....That's the first thing I noticed about this car. The gas mileage is retarded. You couldn't even drive from Toronto to London and back without having to fill up, even Civics can do that.

i do that everyonce and a while, but generally i usually shift at 3500 and cruise between 2500 and 3200. Gas is too expensive for that. It problaby seems like a gas guziler compared to my 95 Hyundai accent...course its nothing when you consider i had a 1984 gmc seiara with a carborated 350
