neither crappy tire or evil depot will loan spring compressora because of liability issues...i tried to get a set when i was doing mine....and an impact gun is usually needed since the strut will just spin when you try and take off the tophat nut, but with the impact gun it will come off

and i did mine in about an hour and a half from parking the car to test driving, so it's not hard...and that was ground control coilovers which are more work then springs alone

trust me man, ur way better off forking out the 100$ CDN and getting a pro done, i heard alot of ppl complaining from clanking and squeaky noise.

i got it done at a garage, very reputable, and its installed perfectly, no noise and no bull****.

Looks like I'm out of luck. I'm back from CrappyTire and they don't loan spring compressor, and they won't even install the springs cause they're performance springs... Looks like I gotta wait for my uncle to feel like installing them

know for a fact huh?

and btw, our upper strut bearings are the biggest piece of shyte ever, casing is made out of plastic with a plastic ring inside as the bearing...lube the pieces you remove and put in and it won't squeek or anything

if you take them off and you bring them to a performance shop of even any place that dose springs they will do them if you pay the guys cash. maybe like 30 bucks or something. if not you can use 2 large c clamps as well with a chain and wrap the spring

Get it done Properly, at least if something wrong happens you can always bring it back and get it fixed.
