I want the OZ cause it looks amazing and barely no one has them, especially modded OZs. I hope I make mucho $$$ this summer to pay for it. I also have a 1999 Corolla with 163 000 KM on it and driving like its new....too bad its not worth it to modify...my family also has a 1996 Corolla with 280 000 KM and it too still drives amazing......damn Toyota Crapolla's are rocks!

 

I'm going to be long winded and honest.

I've wanted a (1997-99) GST or GSX Eclipse since I was 17. I found out that Eclipse Automobiles on Queensway in Etobicoke brought them in from the states. I went down, saw they had some nice cars already sold and told him I would be back in 2 weeks with $1000 deposit.

I went on ca.dsm.org and read reviews about this Used Eclipse dealership. Turns out they buy none-branded accident vehicles from the southern US. Fix them up, roll back the Odometers and sell them here for an arm and a leg. eg. 1996 Green RS Eclipse with 90,000 is $18,000. Turbos are rarer and you're looking at 22-25.

There were like 5 different topics since 2001 about how sketchy these people are. Kars and Trucks on Kipling does the same thing, except they'll probably tell you they are accident vehicles.

Anyways I was pissed right off, because my dream was totally wrecked. Importing an Eclipse was out of the question because I'm not flying to florida to find an Eclipse and drive or ship it up here.

So I figured I can either buy a new eclipse or a new lancer. I went to Cooksville Mitsubishi took a look around and figured that a Yellow Lancer OZ Rally Edition was perfect for me, given the price and the sweet sweet indash 6cd player I got for free from the chick that was selling it.

So too make a long story short. I decided on the lancer rather than the eclipse because of 1) Insurance 2) Weight 3) Potential performance (i could either afford the RS I-4 Eclipse or the OZ Lancer) and the eclipse being bigger I went for the smaller car.

Plus the Lancer just looks badass when you do it up. I also wanted to be able to smack civics with the same size car, engine etc.

That's why I bought my Mitsi......

 

I've got the only pearl white oz in town that i've seen so far.. (edmonton) besides the new chick I've got makes the car look even hotter! I'm waiting for the funds to get the RRM turbo..

there are so many garbage kia's and rice rockets in town I think this car is a lot nicer because it's unique.. except the only problem with canada, the roads here are completely GARBAGE.. considering that plus the garbage japanese paint on these cars i've already got like 7 rock chips

 

Same here - I've got the only yellow OZ, so when I leave it on the street I see everyone looking into it..but no rock chips for me yet thank goodness. 3M has that stone protector I may look into, cause yeah, the roads get so messed up with sand and crap!..however my biggest problem is the thousands of bugs splattered all over my bumper every day!
