no we will not have EVO8 in January, Pierre Gagnon (mitsu north america president) made an interview a few weeks ago saying Canada will not have it, it seems it's because of a bumper crash test...

 

Why don't you buy an Evo8 in Vermont or NY State? Get a P.O. Box and register it in the US. Drive it over the border. Done Deal!

 

It's not that easy Booyah.....you'd either have to be a US resident and have a valid address, or register it in Canada. Either way it wouldn't work. There is a marginal difference in the crash standards between the US and Canada with regards to cars. The reason the evo 8 isn't being released in Canada is because it doesn't meet those standards and isn't going to redesign the vehicle just for Canada. Pray they do for the next line to be released for 2004 but as it stand now no evo 8 in Canada and no word on it coming anytime soon
It really too bad, i've been waiting forever to have come to Canada and when they finally decide to release an evo like the euro ones, they don't offer it here!
