You need to retune. Your WGDC tables will need to be worked for the more efficient boost controller.

If you download the race tuner software I can guide you thru lowering them to get the spike under control till you get it retuned.

Though this has been mentioned repeatedly....

STOP HITTING BOOST NOW unless you want a nice big cooling hole in your expensive 4B11. Wait until you get tuned or you WILL blow the car up.

I'm 99% sure that all of the ads I've seen for this BCS note to not install until you can get tuned. You are running way too much boost and your car has no way to correct it right now.

Anything but the stock boost control solenoids should NOT be used with an Accessport OTS map unless you have their 400S kit. Why vendors package these things together and not include a huge warning is beyond me.

You can search the board, there is plenty of information on how to adjust your maps. If you plan to just stay with the OTS maps though, why not leave the stock solenoids hooked up?

*IMO* Uninstall the EBC and drive to a tuner, then reinstall it.

Simply un-plug the 3-port and you should be fine. It will have you boosting at waste gate pressures.

Edit: by un-plug, I mean the electrical connection. Leave the Vacuum hoses attached.

Use your human will to not press the gas pedal so much? That's a real easy solution.

I can pretty much guarantee you will not 'need' to use over 60-75% throttle driving 10 hours to your tuner.

I drove from Reno to Socal never went over 50% throttle

Like others said: DO NOT USE THE 3-PORT UNTIL TUNED.

You will blow the engine up. Just uninstall it till you get tuned.

So, not to bust your chops or anything but from the grimspeed product page:

"The GrimmSpeed™ Mitsubishi EVO Boost Control Solenoid is designed to work with your factory computer (requires tuning)."

So.. yeah... just trying to understand how you would install a product designed to alter the boost... that you obviously knew would alter the boost considering that is what it is designed to do... and then just start mashing the pedal to the floor without taking the tuning into account....

Logic (and every single 3 port tuning guide around) would kind of dictate that you turn down the boost duty cycles BEFORE you drive the car to prevent motor molesting boost spikes like that.
