Is it really worth it?
One thing you can do is buy it and just install it and look how the car behaves stock, then upload stage one and compare it with your stock. If you dont like what you see then resell it. One of the things i like about it is the REAL TIME Data Log. Basically is a BOOST GAUGE, an AFR, a KNOCK, OIL PRESS, OIL TEMP, ETC... ALL IN ONE... imagine buying a gauge for each different stat you want to read... you save a lot of money...
I'm in exactly the same boat as you. Everyone says this is the single best modification you can do to the Evolution, but I just can't justify potentially losing a warranty on such an expensive car.
I posed myself a question, do I really need the evolution to have more power with this tune? Do I use this power every day while driving in the streets during the weekends? My answer to both questions was no. The Evolution stock is leagues beyond anything I have ever owned, and so I feel like I can wait until my warranty expires before I add a tune and maybe a catback. That will be the most I ever do to this car.
IMO this car comes perfect the way it does from factory aside from a slight few modifications and tweaks.
Plus, after owning my car since April, I have only put ~200 miles on it
I don't want to even think about performance modifications until I feel comfortable with the car in stock conformation.
As of now, my only concern is to protect this car as much as possible so it lasts as long as it can. Clear bra is #1 on my list, then I will put a backburner on my modding greed until my warranty has expired.

I have had my AP for a few weeks now and let me tell you its worth it. The feel of the car after the tune is just so much better. I'v used Stage 1 and loved it I am now on stage 2 and its even better. I pulled on a tt BMW with a tune on it. What more can I say.
