Stage 1 93 Octane on 2012 GSR
Stage 1 93 Octane on 2012 GSR
Just installed stage 1 93 oct on my 2012 GSR, map notes says 24 or 23 peak, but I am hitting 26 PSI on third gear pull every time. I checked the log didn't find any knock higher than 3 mostly some 2s and 1s, was wondering if COBB have a 93 Low Waste Gate map for 2012 GSR over boosting.
For now I flashed to stage 1 91 Oct and Peak boost is now 24 PSI, checked log for knoc everything looks good no knock higher than 2.
Should I just keep using 91 Oct Map? or is there a 93 Oct Low waste gate map for 2012?

I have now flashed to stage 1 91acn map, car is only boosting up to 20psi like target map says.
But this map is the only map, i dont get knock higher than 3 count.
I have been driving with stage 1 93 map for about a week, and i notice car would sometimes have knock sum of 6 to 7 on wot. I seriously think the boost is too high on 2011 and 2012 map,
Even the regular 91 map boost up to 25 up.
I only drove about 30 minutes with 91 map, and it has same problem with knock on wot,
If cobb can readjust map make it 23 24 psi, i think it would probaly solve my wot knock.

Can I install the COBB without any map at all and DO a base DATA LOG in order to compare stock vs STAGE 1 91 oct? Because when I tried to installed it, it tells me STAGE 0 bla bla bla. Does that stage 0 means STOCK?

im running the stage 1 93 map on my 2012 gsr
upgrades are sf cobb intake and i peak at roughly 26
then tapering down. most knocks were 1,2 + 3 and nothing more
COBB said it should be roughly 1.5 over/under what the map gives and 27 is too high.
when i ran the stage 1 91 map i was peaking at 25
then tapering down. knocks were minimal i.e 1.....2...... or maybe 3 but usually 0
idk if that helps anyone but just fyi that whoever prolly isnt the only one. im waiting for a response from COBB, hopefully monday.

Same here - Stock 2012 GSR - was boosting to 26.7 on 93 Stage 1
Had to roll back to the 91 which is peaking at 23.4.
It's a pity, as the 93 felt real good. The 91 is meh...............
The Evo needs some new love from Cobb - If you have a stock car, hold off until they resolve these issues.

I am getting the same problem on stage 1 93oct. I have a CBE, UICP, Panel Filter, and Synapse DV. I was pushing 30psi. At first I thought it was the DV so went back to stock and even tried the stock air filter. Still overboosting I think it really is something with Cobb's map. I posted on the Cobb forum and did not get a reply. From what I have been reading 1-3 counts of knock is ok but, can't help but be safe with my investment. Waiting for a response from an e-tuner to see what they can do with it since Cobb hasn't responded.
Get rid of it. You will hit fuel cut one day when it's extra chilly out, and that will make you **** your pants.
I have had to rebuild a spun a bearing before in my last car (3000GT VR4), so I'm extra sensitive to anything knock related.
