Just want to make sure... Stage 2 AP question..

Yes, I know this has been covered. But I just want to make sure I'm truly safe.. I read the stage 1 map has the moved set too aggressive. So like others I switched to the stage 2 map today.. I only registered 2 counts of knock at one point and the car felt great. Just want to make sure this is a safe route with just an injen intake and uicp and 91 octane. Thank you!

If you have a Stage 1 setup, run a Stage 1 map.

That's what I was doing.. But was told that the stage 1 mivec setting is too aggressive. And that I should run stage 2 even with stock exhaust..

you should run stg 2 lwg if your exhaust is stock to be safe. if you look at hollywoodx's guide to modding he even suggest's it.

Ok. Sorry for the dumb question, but what is the difference between the lwg map and the normal wastegate map? Thank you

LWG maps usually run lower boost due to lower waste gate duty cycle from what I understand. As mentioned above, unless you are monitoring it constantly, run stage 1 if you are set up for stage 1. I've read those threads about running Stage 2 on stock parts but never had a problem running stage 1 before I got the parts for the stage 2 set up.
