Hey Guys,

Wondering if you have any input on whether this could be real knock or not... My car is pretty knock free under boost, and I have my CEL setup to flash on 2 counts knock above 120 load. I never get any knock when boosting or above 120 load, but I was noticing on my AP display that it was logging a maximum knock count of 8-11.

I got really concerned and started doing some logging and determined this was not happening under boost and my CEL flash mod was working correctly. However, that being said - I can't figure out why my car is picking up all this knock in low load.

It appears to be happening when I'm taking of from a complete stop (feathering the clutch and giving the car throttle on and off). Occasionally my car's exhaust rubs the heat shield underneath the car near the catalytic converter area... It's loud enough though that I can't tell if it is when I'm taking off - could this simply be the problem or is it likely something else?

I've posted a log and a screenshot of my timing map.

Also, I've done some searching and recognized that this was a "normal problem" with these cars, but I'm wondering if a solution has been found to this since it came up in 2009...

Sorry to bump an old thread, but any update here?

I'm running stage 3, 93, on 93 pump gas. I get minimal, if any, knock at high RPMs, but I routinely** get 2 knock at 2800-3000 RMS at ~40 acceleration.

**Increasing likelihood as gears increase.
