COBB Accesstuner Race Software

I feel as if I've been totally duped by COBB's marketing scheme. I previously owned an '09 WRX an purchased an accessport for it. I really liked the idea of COBB's software because it could be adjusted with the Accesstuner Race program. Now that I own an Evo and have purchased an Accessport for it I would like to adjust the tune. Come to find out that Accesstuner Race is not currently available for download, and was supposedly going to be released in the third quarter of 2016 (over a year ago!!). If it were to become available again, I would have to pay $100-$150 to acquire it??! It was free at one point in time.

What happened to Accesstuner Race? Will it ever be available anytime soon? Should I ditch the accessport and use different software (EcuFlash, EvoScan)?
