I'm rather surprised about deciding to stop Sedan development all together as well. Around here Lancers are everywhere, there's always at least 1 in any given group of traffic almost. And I see at least 4-5 different Evo's daily...I live in a part of the world that is a bit "affluent" I guess, but still. I am generally confused when I hear they aren't selling well.

Also, while obviously the Evo is discontinued, the Ralliart is not for the time being correct? I may have missed my chance to buy a brand new Evo, but I'm hoping to get into a Ralliart at least in the somewhat near future. (I want a new Lancer with turbo, seems that will be my only option.)

As much as it hurts the enthusiast, Mitsubishi just doesn't have the sales numbers to continue making the Evo. I live in California, Silicon Valley actually. Cali is the yardstick of vehicle sales figures in NA. If I drive by Speed Element, sure they have a handful of Evo's in the parking lot daily. Go to the mall and you may see 2. Driving around normal out and about, you may see one a week. By comparison, the WRX/STI is everywhere all the time. Why? I dunno, but that's the facts. Mitsubishi's popularity just isn't there.

It's sad to find out that there's no Evo XI in the plans. I was fortunate enough to own several DSM's (including a Galant VR4). They're special cars and hopefully the nice ones hold their value.

I live in Colorado. I see at least 5 other WRXs/STIs in my morning commute.

My commute only takes 10 minutes -_-

Considering that other manufacturers such as nissan and mazda are reviving their performance icons, be kinda stupid to get rid of the evo altogether. My thoughts is that they're gonna focus on making cars that run on potatos for a bit then ressurect a new version.

As optimistic as I want to be about them bringing the evo back, I think its unlikely just because Mitsubishi isn't doing so well. When a big manufacturer stops making a car and then brings it back it's a small risk that won't bring the whole ship down. If mitsu was selling outlanders left and right maybe I would have a different opinion.
