Here is some help for not great launchers...
I want to at least start by saying I am not a pro driver in any means. I autocross for fun and drag for fun. I do best in my class and usually 2nd or third in the class above me in autocrossing. I only drag raced once on a track and it was at Rock Falls (There is less traction on that track than there is on a normal street). But at least to help some people that are worse than me at launching here is a tip....
This whole slip the clutch dump the clutch bla bla... The biggest two parts to a launch are building force and boost before you are moving and transferring that power to the ground (The dump). Dont worry about your RT, sit at the line holding 3,750-4,000... wait till you are almost ready to go and floor it till around 5,250-5,500 and let the clutch out quickly... pretty much dumping it. Dont TRY to let it out as fast as you can but dont think about slipping it out or anything. That is what people I know that run low 11's and high 10's are doing and that is what they call slipping the clutch out. Dumping the clutch is forcefully trying to drop it.. like moving your foot sideways off the pedal instead of lifting your foot. ANYONE should be able to hit a 1.8 60' on a stock car running stock boost off the factory under any conditions aside from extrmely cold weather or wet weather. Everyone has thier own way to do it but this way works and got many of my friends in the low 11's or high 10's in thier DSMs.. they got a 1.71 on my car (Bone Stock)... my best is low 1.8s. Have fun!

Hopefully this helps a lot of people. I wondered if launching AWD cars is pretty much a universal technique, I doubt that? I know in my VR4 I tried different techniques, but the best technique I found was dropping the clutch at 6,000RPM. Man I'm telling you my 3700Lbs VR4 straight would leap out like a tiger. Too bad I never got a chance to test that technique at a track.

Heres what got me low 1.6 60 foots consistently
holding the RPM doesnt really build boost, even if you floor it at the end, it only builds a small amount of boost. What you have to do is floor the then let up over and over and over and quick enough to maintain 5500 rpms.
Flooring the pedal is what builds your boost, and letting off is what keps you from bouncing off the limiter like crazy.

whats funny is blackEVO's comment. If it did nothing then why do ALL my DSM friends do it? It's basically the same thing as having a studder box. just bit slower and not as accurate.
