12.0 @ 113 basic mods + EMS

116 gas, 3" exhaust, DSM 2.5" cold intake, AEM EMS, Hallman ES MBC
ACT Clutch and gauges as well. Weight 3380lb

12.845 @ 107.41 Spun in first 1.85 18psi 11's AF
12.645 @ 109.18 spun again 1.82 18psi
12.443 @ 112.15 bogged launch 1.72 18psi better tuning..AF 12.1
12.210 @ 111.74 1.639 Ahh traction 20psi some minor knock
12.024 @ 113.45 1.649 22psi

Soo close to 11's I can taste it. No powershifting yet, and I don't have the studderbox 2step rev limit working yet but I doubt that would have helped the 60' already as IMHO they were very good once the track dried up.

Going to try and hit 11's next weekend without having to do anything drastic, hopefully just hammer som better shifts.

Still having issues getting the accell load enrichment to work, and that was causing AF and knock issues at the begining of each gear.

Overall Im extremely happy with the EMS. Car has never been on a dyno, only street tuning so far. Love it. Best mod I have done to ANY car...and I run a full time DSM shop.

I have a math for the AEM logger software that calculates HP and torque using the RPM acceleration rate and the weight of the car. It's showing about 340whp on the 113mph run. That sound about right for the weight/mph im running?

yup I went to the track today hoping to hit 110mph...the 112 and 113mph was to my suprise. Now I wish in hindsight I had left the throttle down on any one of the shifts on the last run, would have been 11's.

Very nice times & 60'. I guess AEM EMS is the best way to go. Good luck next weekend.

Stock cams? If yes, do you have adjustable cam gears on the stockers?

The beauty of 116 octane gas. I wonder what he'd run on 93.

Last week I ran with the EMS on 93 pumpgas sunoco since the track was sold out of racegas (thankfully they got a delivery for this last weekend). There is a thread about it "evo track with EMS..Issues" or something like that in the EMS forum.

I was running 17psi on pump last week. Same modifications, nothing changed between, other than Im getting better at using the ems and logging software.

I only got 4 runs in on pumpgas, and the tuning wasn't too great...I had some knock retard on all the passes becuase I haven't tuned the ign timing very much.

12.722 @ 107.68 was my best pass. I was not shifting it hard at all, as Im not going to wear out the trans trying to make good ETs when the MPH is obviously not that good. This last time out going 112-113 I know an 11's was possible, so I was shifting pretty hard.

I went 12.3 @ 108 on the stock ecu, so logicly I can do the same 12.3 ET with the ems on pumpgas, possibly even a little faster mph once I have spent some more time tuning on pumpgas.

Ill keep updating on here.

Stock cams, stock cam gears. Timing cover hasn't ever been removed.

Cams are my next planned mod. I would hope 272's would give about 25whp..enough to go 115-116mph, 11.8

I would be very happy with those times. It makes me think how much power the EMS can really supply.
