I need help 7.8 in the 1/8 at 80

Alright what i need is your opinion as to what i can do better or change on my car to get my traps up.
I am running
7.802's at 80.6 mile per hour with my 60 foot times in the 1.65 range
in the 1/8 mile.

list of my mods hks 2 3/4 dp, hks 3in cat back, cat delete, 272 cams, hks drop in filter, halmann mbc set at 21 pounds, walboro fuel pump and a mail in turbo trix flash.

My problem is that i think my trap speeds are not were they should be. My friend was running 8.1 at 80 with out cams but with a hks intake and i see that other peoples traps are a lot higher than mine. any help would be great.

^^^ Yep . Your probably tuned too rich at the top end.

You should be in the high 80's with that 7.8 1/8 and low to mid 12's at the 1/4.

Custom tune would be your solution.

I just want to get this all sorted out before i get the tme 6.5 turbo and one more thing do you think a leaking blow valve could cause this. The first time i got my car tuned by al he tuned my friends and mine evo and we all had similar set ups but i ran one of the other cars and we would run together untill topend and the other evo would just start pulling me and now i have the turbotrix tune and still apears to be dying on the top end. so i think i ll will get a new blow off valve and get a custom tune thanks

7.8 in the 1/8 is really good, the best I could do was a 8.39 @ 85 mph though. My 60ft was 1.80. Wished I could break the 7 sec barrior on the 1/8...What were your tire pressure set too? That might help a little.

Yeah I would expect atleast 86mph at the 1.8 for your mods. The hard parts are fine if installed correctly and you don't have boost leaks. The tune is probobly the issue. Try getting on a dyno and logging AF ratio, I bet your going to find out that it's crazy rich still.

It's probably because your shifting into 4th right before or at the 1/8 marker.

8000 seems a little late to be shifting. I dont think your making any power up there maybe thats why your MPH is low try shifting at 7000-7400.

I have been running back the scenerio at the track over and over again in my head and have come to two conclusions one thing i remeber is that at the end of the track i could smell clutch really bad( it would only smell at the end of the pull) and for number two i remeber once that while watching the boost guage it dropped from 21 pounds down to 17 so i turned up the mbc and it hit 22 but droped back down again to 17.
