I agree with Warrtalon. Good job running the 1/8, but only 1/4 mile times please.

Looks like a little of both. Your driving is very good, but you're definitely losing power in 4th down the back half. You either have a boost leak (small one) that only opens up at the top of 4th, or your current tuning is causing a lean condition in 4th that is then causing knock, pulling timing, and killing the mph. Having the FMIC on there with a previous tune could be the culprit, but that's only a guess. It looks like you are making the power to hit 107-108 with an even lower ET if not for this issue. Either way, the driving looks quite good...

I appreciate the diagnosis! Thanks for the compliments. I suck at launching the car with the launch control active. I disconnected it and banged off a 1.70 I am sure at the expense of many pricey items like T-case, clutch, tranny etc..

I have boost/egt gauges w/ peak hold and a record/playback feature. Boost peaks (very quickly) at 1.5 bar and then falls off to about 1.25 bar at redline. The car has always done this since I have had the ability to record.

I am leaning toward the tune being the problem tune but don't want to waste $$ if I am just going to add something else to negate it. (cams, alky, etc....)

Could this be solved with an AFC??? I am currently only flashed.

Thanks

An S-AFC on top of your flash would allow you to fine-tune everything and maybe get that missing HP up top, but you first need to log your runs to see what's happening. I would expect to see your timing flat across the board if not jagged like a sawtooth blade, but there's no way to know without a logging device.

On my 12.64 at 106.00 on cat-back and 93oct, I had a really strong 1/8th mile like yours (8.0 at 86), but then in 4th gear my timing hit 12* and then flatlined all the way to redline. I could literally FEEL the lack of power in 4th as the timing was being pulled big time. It should have been more like a 108mph run if you look at the 1/8th stats, but it was poor tuning (on my part) that caused the 106...

^No problem, just run some 12s in the 1/4 mile and I'll add you to the list. Good luck.
