Went to the drag strip sunday to compete in a king of the street shootout. I was in the 7.99 with a 7.49 breakout category.

However before i started the king of the street i decided to do a pump gas run and see if the tuning i did helped any after removing the dynoflash.

well i lowered my best time by .02 seconds. and increased the trap speed by .5 mph. so my new best on pump gas is.

7.94 @ 90 This was my very first pass and my only pass on pump gas, so i think with a few more runs id be hitting 7.8x

Now on to the race gas. I loaded my race gas map and turned the boost up some and ran a pretty nice time, heres how the slip looked.

7.72 @91 mph

This is on stock turbo w/10.5 hotside, and stock cams.

Wow great job, 91MPH in the 1/8th is pretty fast, your definitly looking at a low 12 second 1/4 mile time.

Dylan, your gonna have to show me how to launch my car. 1.62 60' is killer... how do you do it. and is your restrictor pill removed.

Don't get me wrong, your EVO is very fast, I'm thinking you could even run a high 11 second 1/4 mile. But that car you raced made was really freaking fast!!!! Anyhow, great job.

 

haha yeah that car ran 6.1@110 mph. full on drag car.

Did you shift into 4th at the end or just 3rd? I have wondered if it was worth the shift since the car really doesn't make much power over 7K. I think most people just run through in 3rd but I have never experiemented to see if there was a difference in time.

What clutch are you running?

 

on all those runs stock clutch.

however that last 7.72 pass did my stocker in. so now im running an ACT street disc.

 

good runs... what where the times on those last to video's... I can't really tell...

both i think were in the 7.80's

 

I'd be happy with that... the first of april. I'll find out weither or not I'll be able to do it. I'm having cams, and cam gears installed this weekend and I"m gonna be getting the car back from andrew around the 3rd or 4th of april. I'll post up a video when I get the car back. I'm just hoping for 7.9's...
