How many miles did you people have on your Evos before drag racing? I have 6k miles on mine and want to hit the strip next month. I've babied it until now and am concerned that it might be too soon to beat on it. After hearing all the clutch replacements on this site, I'm hesitant about even taking it to the strip. I can't afford a new clutch anytime soon. It's a daily driver for me, but I'd like to take it to the track and strip about 4 times a year total. How long should the stock clutch last and is it ready for the strip? Thanks.

 

bah I took mine to the track with little less than 1K miles

 

i had 18000 k on it .once i took it dragging it lasted 17 runs and that was it

Did the break in period of 600 miles then hit the track at around 700 miles.
