California Speedway
I just want to say great job to all the EVOs that showed up last night at California Speedway, you guys were running strong, and the ones that weren't just need alittle more practice at launching and shifting. There were two 11 second EVOs there and I've been trying to find more info on them. One of the EVOs was red with Exedy on the sides, the other was yellow with LFlow egineering on the sides, anybody know what I'm talking about? Can you give more info on them?
Yeah! We were doing good. We supposed to do better if there were another 2 11s evos coming. There're both yellow (one has problem with fuel pump and the other is IE EVO was already run the day before). There were 11s runs by two red and yellow evos mentioned and a few 12s runs that including mine and a friend.
The red one belong to a shop called GT Motorsport which specialized in Subaru but started tuning EVO recently. Both cars are heavy mods (upgraded turbos and stroke kit) and tuning (AEM EMS) by Scott as far as I know of.
I was there and definitely suck. My best 60' is 1.8 and my trap is 117 but my best time is 12.7 so there's definitely something wrong in the mid by the way I shifted (no missed shift) from 3rd gear to 4th or my car reflash (I'm starting to suspect). I noticed that after shifting to 4th gear, the car was hesitate before pulling unlike when I was shifting in lower gears.
Anyway, yeah it was packed and I only got 3 runs but had to stay until closed.

The dragstrip was totally crowded. The Speedway staff was very unorganized in directing the traffic to let the cars in. My buddy and I almost didn't get to race because of there stupidity. It was nice meeting you, G20. Those trap speeds you were getting were pretty good. I was playing with my water injection set up, but needed a way to lean out my A/F ratio in order to see some decent results. I'll return with a SAFC on 4/8/05 to hopefully better my time. Due to the crowd, I was forced to park towards the end of the track and saw the Skyline fly past me and hit the sand. I swear that guy flew by without letting off the throttle! I'm wondering if he misestimated the end of the track.

Oh it was the yellow one that ran 11.5@122MPH, for some reason i thought it was the red one. Didn't the red one run 11.8@122MPH? I believe it was the race were one of them stalled out at the start.
