Finally ran my car....

I ran my car Friday night finally with the new twin disk, 264's, and custom DynoFlash tune. Here's the results...

60 2.17 (first time launching with the Exedy)
330 5.76
594 8.18
ET 8.72 @ 83.94 mph

60 1.81
330 5.27
594 7.66
ET 8.19 @ 84.74 mph

60 1.84
330 5.31
594 7.70
ET 8.23 @ 84.89 mph

60 1.81
330 5.24
594 7.62
ET 8.15 @ 84.77 mph

60 1.81
330 5.26
594 7.64
ET 8.18 @ 84.75 mph

I'm not a drag racer, but I was thinking my MPH would have and should be faster with my mods I have. I'm not familiar with what kind of MPH others are getting with the same setup. Maybe someone can shime in and tell me?

I have a Helix 3" dp, Perrin test pipe, HKS cat back, Walbro, HKS 264's, Exedy twin disk, EVC se to 20.5 psi and a HKS rs intake. I was kind of happy with my performance though. Seemed after my first time I ran pretty consistant.

All in all though, I was pretty happy with my runs. I was kinda disappointed on the traps, but not sure if its normal or not. These runs were done with my 18" Volks so I'm sure the 60 fts. would have went down a little with the stockers on there.

Good job, MPH seems ok to me. I think if your 1/8 mile time is like a 12.6-12.8@109-110MPH 1/4 mile time, so not to bad.

here is mine numbers totally stock..... you were .4 ahead of me by the 8th and I would imagine that would be .6-.7 ahead by the end of the qtr....so you probably would have been 12.7ish... that is pretty good.....

1.835 60'
8.544 @ 80.37

I haven't dynoed with the reflash and cams yet. Can't find a dyno around here worth the money and time.

Wow, I would think that you should be trapping higher. all I have is a 3"TBE untuned and your only trapping 3mph higher than me. boost leak?

I don't think his car is trapping too bad, 84.75-84.89MPH isn't horrible, and in most cases equals a trap speed somewhere between 109.00-110.00, which isn't horrible. Was this on pump gas or race gas? I ask because pump gas numbers seems about right for your mods, race gas numbers you should trap in between 85.00-87.00MPH. Then again even if these runs were on race gas, remember not all EVOs are created equal, and you may just have a slower EVO, which is funny, calling a car that potentialy can run a 12.60-12.80@109.00-110.00 slow is funny.

Also your car may just pick up more speed in the back end, the best way I believe to determine if your car is running is to take it to a 1/4 Mile track, a 1/8th track is just too short.

Ok, I'm starting to think that maybe your car is running alittle slow, with your mods, your ideal speed should be atleast 85.50 and higher. But to get a true sense of how your car is running, you need to hit up a 1/4 mile track.

This was done on pump (93) gas. I've been thinking the same thing. I was expecting a little more MPH out of my car. Hell....my stock 03' trapped close 89 mph. I didn't think it was that fast, but I was expecting a little higher.

You think with my cams and not having injectors my car isn't tuned as agressive up top. I'm wondering if I got some bigger injectors and had it retuned if it would get any faster.

My car was trapping 81-82 mph when it had a HKS dp, HKS cat back, and a HKS rs intake. After adding a test pipe, cams, boost controller, fuel pump, and a custom tune you'd think it pick up more that just 2.5 mph.

nice. based on those numbers I'd guess a 12.7 @ 108 in the 1/4. On my runs last year I ran an 8.1 @ 85 on the way to 12.8 @ 107, but with no cams, so I'm guessing you'd trap a little higher and be a bit quicker. That was also with 1.7 60' times. If you can get those 60' times down a bit you'll see mid/low-mid 12's for sure in the 1/4. Nice runs with an unfamiliar clutch!
