Ran a 12.4 @ 112

Just got back from the drags. !st run I just got dailed in and did a 13.4, next was a 12.7, and then a 12.4. On my 12.4 run, my 60 ft was 1.774, is that good for the evo? I haven't really gotten timed very often in this car, is there anything I should do or know when drag racing for times?

Also a buddy told me that our local track here is slow. He has a wrx and said the best he could run here was a 14.7. Then he went to Redding and ran a 14.2, so I guess that means I could maybe be in the 11's at a faster track!? Anyways, my car is beating Z06's, Charged Cobra's, and a mid 90's Viper all with no problem so it must be that the track is slow.

Thats a pretty good 60 foot time.

What mods you running????

What Clutch..........and let me just warn you......Evo's were not ment to be drag raced...High revs and some wheel hop off the launch and you'll bust up your transfer case/front diff and it'll cost you out the a$$

Just warning you

Well considering you didnt list anything about the runs except the ET and the MPH of one with no mention of the mods ran with who knows.. if you have a GT42r then your hurting. Im assuming stock turbo w/ cams, intake, intercooler pipes and intercooler? Id say you are right about on par.

LOL... I havent seen a production car yet that is made for drag racing. I would say the Evo stock is one of the best drag racing cars out there. If you know what you are doing it will not break. I havent broken mine yet and I have probably launched it well over 300 times with no ill affects as of yet (Knock on wood). The Evo is a great car for many things... Drag Racing included.

And yes, the 60' time is decent.. I cut 1.8's but I am not very good. A 1.6 is a real good launch and 1.5's are about as good as you could get with normal mods (Without lots of power I would assume).

Doesn't really help if it's in your profile. It takes several clicks and is not obvious where the info is. Just put the main power mods in your sig to make it easier.

The 60' is decent, but not good. If it was on a stock clutch, then it would be just above average, but on a real clutch, you should look for high 1.6x 60's. Your mph is consistent with your dyno's, so the track doesn't appear slow. With a better 60' and great driving, you could hit 12.1 with that 112mph trap, or at least a 12.2.

Your mods are capable of more than 350whp on 93oct, but you don't appear to be tuned to that level currently, unless the dyno's were reading low (mustang or DD).

Yeah I agree with Warrtalon, with your level of mods you should be making 350WHP+ on a Dynojet, but still not bad. Your definitly can go quicker, take the car to the faster strip and see what she runs. Nice job.

My car is making 350 whp! I put down 335 on a mustang at gruppe-s. Their mustang reads extremely close to vishnu's DD. I have the exedy twin disk too, and come on Warrtalon, I mean dont be a dick about things. Its not that hard to get to my profile.

Stock evo's do about 210whp on gruppe-s's mustang, and I think a stock evo does like 240-245 on a dynojet, right?? That would put me in the 365-370whp range then. My Beast was doing the same thing. 12.4 at 112mph but I believe I was cutting 1.8 sixty foots. My best time was 12.3 with a 1.7something sixty foots. PUMP GAS, STOCK INJECTORS, STOCK INTERCOOLER, yeah baby..... Evo Power.

Pretty good times. With the power you listed in your profile I would think you would be a little faster though. Like someone said above go to that other track and see what happens.

I wasn't being a dick. It's very annoying to have to navigate to find your mods, because it's not in your profile. You have to go to the profile, then click on something else, then click on "my ride." Anyway, it's not like anyone can just click on your name and see it, and no one will know to go navigating through the profile selections just to find your mods unless you specifically tell them. It's much better to put the major mods in your sig.

I saw the 335, but I didn't know it was a mustang dyno. That requires an additional click to get the details, and I didn't go that far. Stock 05s make 240-245 on a Dynojet, but 03s are usually 215-225. Mustangs and DD's do usually read low, so if you got 335, it would be safe to say you have 350 or so on a Dynojet, but the 112mph trap says otherwise. If the track actually makes you run 5mph slower than normal, then yeah, you may be pushing 370 (117mph expected), but otherwise you're looking at more like 320. If you're able to find another track that registers normal et/mph, go there and see what you can do. I'm not worried about the ET, but rather the MPH...that will be the true indicator of HP.
